Moonlit Massacre - Book Reading Event

OKC Ward 2 Councilor and Author James Cooper held a book reading for the release of Moonlit Massacre at Literati Press within the Paseo District. This 12-years-in-the-making horror novel explores a certain violent event in 70s Oklahoma that has ties to the state's history of violence. With thorough insight and research, Cooper touches on themes of race, grief, and mental health to publish a book that critics are calling "gripping" and "heart-racing".

As someone who is a slow reader, I'm incredibly excited to dive headfirst into the world James Cooper constructed, as real and as close to home as it can be. It's important to remember and learn from past events, as violent as they can be. The Sirlion Stockade murders, as seen through the lens of James Cooper, I hope is a journey that is as horrifying as it is eye-opening.
